Things are progressing well with beginning the new work in Perry, Utah. To date we have $6000.00 committed to purchasing the property and several churches have called and stated they are praying about what the Lord would have them to do.

          Certainly we are seeing the Lord working and things are moving forward. The Bridgerland Tech drafting department is near to finishing the prints for the building and property. We have to get the parking area added and they will be finished. Last night I made contact with an architectural engineer who says he can take the prints, review, bring them up to code and certify them as the city is requiring and would only charge $500.00 or less!

          So far I have a licensed general contractor and electrician who will let us work under them at little or no cost. I will be doing a great deal of the work myself, but a number of others in Utah have volunteered to help also which will save a lot of money. I still need a licensed plumber, but I am sure the Lord will direct us to one before he is needed. We will not be sure if the HVAC will work till we have the power and gas turned on. Hopefully, it will work okay.

          According to our contract with the owner we will close on December 18, 2009. I am asking those that the Lord leads to help us to send the money to Calvary Baptist Church, 536 S Main Street, King, NC 27021 by the first week in December. Please make the check out to Calvary Baptist Church and mark it for Perry Baptist Church. Calvary with account for and handle the funds.

          The deed for the property will be made out in the church's name although Carolyn and I will have to sign the note if we have to borrow money. This is why we have committed ourselves to living in our travel trailer as we could not borrow money both for the church and a house. We also have committed to giving part of the money we made on our house we sold in Tremonton. We are happy to do this and we are living in our 27' travel trailer which is parked in an RV park in Willard, Utah about 2.5 miles from the property in Perry. We have been pre-approved for the loan if needed. However, we are praying for the full amount to come in, but ready do what is needed to see the church begun. The loan company said if we make the loan we could in about two years transfer the loan over to the church.

          I have shared this proposal with many of the pastors in Utah and all are fully standing with us in seeing the great opportunity we have. We believe that most of our supporting churches and others also will prayerfully join us in seeing the Gospel preached here and people saved.

          Faith Baptist in Layton, Utah and Grace Baptist in Logan both have committed to help us in canvassing the area and going door to door. We believe we will see souls saved and a Gospel light house built here to the glory of God. Our goal is to begin services hopefully by the end of February.

          With all my heart I thank you for your prayerful consideration of helping us with this new work. Any amount the Lord would lead you to give would go a long way in beginning this new church. God bless you as you serve the Lord in your area and may He give us many souls for our labors.
