Thank you for this Site. I sometimes have to fill at our church when our Pastor is sick or away. Your site is an immense help in assisting me to order my thoughts and see a sermon logically presented.
Thank you so much. I thank GOD for you and this web site it has been a very great inspiration to me. I pray GOD's continued blessings on you and your's.
Just wanted to say I enjoy your site until I saw the article on tongues, people say it is not for today, then we could say healing is not for today nor salvation, etc.
I saw your message about a divorce man not being able to be a pastor or a deacon. I sujest you learn how to read the scriptures and study all of the verses on divorce. I thought the way you think for years untill I started really studying it on my own. AND YES I AM AN INDEPENDENT BAPTIST PREACHER. [Click to read my response]
Your article on the Baptist churches is pure nonsense; the Catholic church is the only church that has continued down from the apostles in an unbroken line. All your ranting against the Catholic church is pathetic and based entirely on your imagination. Start by doing some unbiased research and you will find Christ in the Catholic Church. My best wishes.
Sir, My name is Minister Billie Lee and l like to tell you how much site is very informative and most spiritual enlighting. Please add me to your e-mail list. GOD BLESS.
I enjoyed your sermon page. Not just it but your entire site. Thanks and keep up the good work. God bless.Bobby -----.
I love to read them! (Sermons) Please keep posting them-please!
Dear Friend,
I appreciate the web site and greatly enjoy the sermons. I read them diligently and they "through the Holy Spirit" have convicted me, encouraged me, challenged me, and comforted me. Thank you for your diligence in maintaining the site.
I want to thank you guys IMMENSELY for putting this video together, I was just remembering of one of my Mormon friends who is adament about the church being true. I think that there was a small breakthrough as she had emailed to me that she was frustrated that I might be trying to cause her to be questioning her church and that there could be something that is not true. I pray that someday I will be able to share with you this video. (Note: I did not put the video together, I only posted information on it with a link to where it can be found. Bible-truth.org)
Thank you for your article on, "Is smoking a sin?". I have been heavily struggling with this sin for the past 7-8 months. It seemed as though the more conviction I had about the matter the less things seemed to be moving for me spiritually - It is as though I have come to a spiritual growth stand-still. No-matter how much praying or reading of God's Holy word I have been doing-Because I have not quit smoking, I know God has not been working in my life spiritually as he would if I were not outright sinning.
Up until I read your article, I have been struggling with all the same excuses you mentioned and refused to believe it was a sin. I figured that as long as I didn't smoke around any church members, and thus, cause them to judge me, I was fine. But, like I said, the Lord has been convicting me more and more. Thank God and thank you that he has led me to your article while surfing on the WEB. I was doing a web search for the word "SHRINE" for a completely unrelated topic from smoking and your article came up. It said, "IS IT A SIN TO SMOKE?" --Exactly the question that was eating at my spirit but never allowed myself to check or find out because I was afraid of the answer or I didn't want the answer. But, since your article was right there, I knew that if I didn't read it it would be like spitting in God's face in response to his answer to the question that he knew that I had about whether smoking was a sin. Well, I read your article, and I praise God for it. I through out the cigarettes and did everything you mentioned to do--PLEASE PRAY THAT I DO NOT START AGAIN.
Pastor David - Kenya, East Africa |
Warm kingdom greetings! Thanks so much for your good teachings. It has really helped us to dig deep for hidden truths. We now feel very safe and rooted in God's truth. You are always in our prayers. Many of our people here stand in wonder about the great teachings you have made available to us,the Kenyans here enjoy reading them so much.(it is very encouraging when more of our people spare time to read the teachings). Thanks once more for your commitment to the Lord's work.
I thank you for your terrific dissertation on "Predestination vs Free Will". . .
I want to use it in a presentation to about 30 of my fellow pastor's at a retreat this coming January. . . .Thanking you again for your Godly insight into this most perplexing heresy.
Wow, I was very surprised and very impressed that you got back to me so fast, espically when that was the most diificult contradiction I found in the Bible. . . . Whenever I ask a question concerning God's love or reasoning in class I always seem to get the same response that "I don't have enough faith", which I will always respond back, "but God gives us the gift of faith why will He not give me enough?" It seems like you are the only that can give me a well-informed response to my dilemma. I really appreciate this!
I want to personally thank you for this site! It is a life saver for me as my youth group the "Bible Digging Club" are asking some very hard questions for me. I appreciate and applaud your work and pray God blesses you in a might way!
I am so glad I found your site!
My friend, you seem to be wiser and have more authority than Jesus and his inspired writers. Mark 16:15-16 Mark still in the New Testament as well as l Pet. 3:21. If a person is saved without baptism he then is saved without the forgivness of sins. Acts 2:38 is still in the New Testament. The person who believes in Jesus as God's son, and repents of his sins stilldoes not have remission of sins. Acts 2:38 is inspired scripture and cannot be broken.
Why O why do you continue to wrest the scriptures to your own destruction?
thanks Pastor or brother in the Lord. Is such a great sermon and l'm bless today. Continue the good work in the Lord. And l will be happy if more sermons are posted. God richly bless u and keep us in the faith till we meet together in heaven.
thanks for the information and may the almighty God
bless you.faith
You have it absolutely right!!! We do believe christ was married... don't like the facts? Try this on for size.
1) What was the firs thing Mary tried to do when Christ was resurrected?
Answer: Embrace him. Relevance? It is a high crime, punishable by
death mind you, to touch any man other than your husband.
2) Why is it that all the pharisees and sadducees never picked up on the
fact that Christ proclaimed himself to be a rabbi, and yet he wasn't married
(Which was required at the time by Jewish law)?
Answer: Because he was in fact married.
3) Why did Mary repeatedly refer to Jesus as "Master", a common term for the
time, for "husband"?
Answer: Because she was in fact married to him!
4) Interesting how God commands Adam and Eve to go forth and replenish the
Earth... and yet he doesn't have to abide by his own law?
5) I'm sure you remember the marriage on Cana of Galilee, Christ turned
water into wine after Mary approached him of the lack thereof. It is the
responsibility of the groom to maintain the supply of food and drink at
their wedding party in the jewish culture. Why did Mary approach him if it
wasn't even his party?
6) Jewish customs are that a man be married between 16 and 18 years of age.
Also they believe marriage to be a religious obligation. According to the
culture of the time Jesus had to have been married.
Reply with serious cold hard facts (and"You're the devil's
workshop" or "The Book of Mormon is a lie" doesn't count) and I might oblige
you with a reply.
Bible-truth.org: I sent him a detailed biblical reply....he never anything more from him!
THANK YOU FOR THE ONLINE INFORMATION
hello, i read your reply to the question of changing the TRADITIONAL sunday night service and was a little surprised at your answer. i have been full time staff for 16 years of 3 SBC traditional churches and find that many churches today do not offer relevant teaching for the people and most styles of worship and teaching have become "boring" and "TRADITIONAL" i find it so legalistic (which has become so typical of many christians, Pharisee's of the church) of you to say that the churches that are meeting in home groups or cell groups are People that are moving away from studying the Bible, to studying books and programs of various "authorities" dealing with human emotion and problems. The last time i checked Paul said he would become all things, to all people, to reach some and the scriptures also clearly teaches of churches that met in homes! I know i will not change your mind but would like for you to tell me when did churches start meeting on sunday nights and wed. nights, and where in the bible does it teach us that we must meet during these time. thanks kevin peterson
Being a Tarheel is wonderful, but my joy is in knowing that the mission field is for men like yourself. I'm so thankful for the web site you (hopefully your church is behind this blessing) to others who are christians helping christians in this hour of much needed wittnessing to all we meet. Your aproach from God's Word to others is a message from Love from your heart. I 'm praying for you right now....Lord of all, take this pastor and muchly use him in this area you have called he and his wife too. Please Lord meet this pastors need as it pleases you. His web-site Lord is a blessing to many and may you bless this area of his life too. My, Lord, will you grant him and his wife and Church people many souls as each day goes by, for time for us to stand in the gap is now for the souls of men you died for. Bless in a way that it can be seen, felt, and received with joy of the salvation you have given each of your children to whom you call all to You. May they grow in Joy Peace and heart broken for souls. Lord, I lift this pastor and wife and family up to you and pray that Your will be done in the area of this Tarheel. For I to am a Tarheel and I know that all men should be stuck from the heels of his feet, to the top of his head in the instructions and inspiriation of Gods Word. Thank you Lord for this night and this time. In Jesus name I pray...Amen..
Good morning, I was looking for a explanation of "Why do we get baptized" I came across your sermon, what a sermon! I would love to sit in church and listen to your words, your way of explaining, and the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for a job well done and I would love to hear more from you, thank you for the inspiring words of faith, something we all need into days world, God Bless and Watch over you.
You said to e mail you and let you know to have regular sermons or studies, which we would love to have, not many people telling much of the truth in a lot of
things anymore. Read you sermons and studies earnestly and really enjoy and like them very much. We needed things like this to study in the scriptures, We have been in a church that just taught topically and kept repeating the same things for 14 years, we finally had enough of it and got out in a very wonderful Independent Baptist Church. We got into a rut with this type of teaching all the time and nothing else. But it was only certain books of the bible and we never hear many of the other books of the bible.....So yours is very refreshing although there are many things topical which I know we need also.
Thanks again for your web page.
I have been reading your answers and I am so sad for you! The thought that you can tell people that if they have been divorced that they can't be a pastor is ill. If God calls a person to be a pastor, and he has been divorced but God forgave him and still called him to preach, how dare you tell God what to do. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around? "Take the plank out of your own eye, before you try to take the plank out of your brother's eye," comes to mind!
I am a member of the local church in Riverside New Jersey. We are a full gospel church, so I believe in the Baptism in the Spirit.
At my church, we also move in the ministry of deliverance, which is the casting out of unclean spirits. I understand how you say that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is not Biblical, so you would probably say that deliverance isn't either.
I just want to warn you that it is one thing for you to believe something, but it is quite another for you to say that my experience with God is false. As spiritually "advanced" as you think you are sir, I want you to know that you are poor, wreched, and naked. This site should be called "The Devil's Lies". I will be praying for you.
Two dear Mormon friends from Emery County |
We are becoming more Christian each day and deeply appreciate your
contribution to our conversion. The Cross has taken on great significance to us and we hope to break all our ties with the foolish traditions of
mormonism.
Let us know if we may be of any assistance in your continued
efforts to save lives and souls.
I'm a lay person and your message or sermon OUR MONEY CAN GLORIFY.
Has scripture I was looking for.. Please don't stop putting these sermons
out. Thank you, IN CHRIST
I just had to write you again to say thank you. Thank you so much that you care for others, even others not in your congregation. Your response to my email and the articles on your website have certainly helped me so much with this issue of assurance.
Well, after you wrote I responded to an invitation at church and talked this thing through with my pastor's wife. She also was a big help to me in understanding how Satan can attack with doubt when a Christian is not a member of a local body, as well as not being filled with the Holy Spirit. Now, after much prayer and surrender to the Lord, I have peace about my salvation. I have never been closer to Him
than I am now. I can really see how He is working in my heart and life. I joined with Mt. Zion Baptist Church (name of city) on Dec. 19th. I've been faithful there since September of '01. Thomas ------- is our pastor.
I was just at the website for Calvary. I am overwhelmed and am rejoicing with you all in how God has provided for your building. Isn't He just wonderful? When I hear about these things that God does for us, unworthy of ANY of it, words cannot describe how much He does care. Br. Abrams, I will be praying for your upcoming surgery in February. I will pray for a good healing and recovery period afterwards.
My husband and I usually vacation in Montana or Wyoming. If possible this year I would love to visit Calvary.
God bless you and keep you, your wife and church body.

I would love to see more of this kind of teaching! It thrills my heart. Please speak up and loudly. The world desperately needs the truth and it is hard
to find these days. Thank you so very much.
Bro. Cooper! How are you! I am doing well. I know you are busy doing the
Lord bidding. During your time of prayer, if you would, please mention
my name. I am candidating for a church for Pastoring. I truly thank God
that I have had the chance to meet you through e-mail. You and your web
site have been very helpful to me. It is tough being a good soldier for
Jesus Christ. So many ppl are compromising and when I read what you and
some of the other sound brothers are saying I shout and say amen! I
realize that difficult days are ahead but my heart is fixed and my mind
is made up! Jude 3 is my favorite scripture ( I have so many :). I want
to be able to echo Paul when my departure is at hand 'I have fought a
good fight, I have finished my course, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH'. Take care
brother and keep preaching the Word!!!!!!!

Just wanted to say I love your site. I'm a ex-Mormon
and now a Born-again believer, after I received Christ
God called me into the ministry, it's so great to know
the truth and praise God it has set me free. The reason
I was on your site, I'm preparing to preach a sermon on
cults sometime, your information will be helpful. Your
doing a great work for the Lord, so keep on keeping on
for Jesus, and spread the truth brother.
What a challenging sermon! It is so true that churches are "trimming their sails." Once it happens, it is nigh to impossible to bring it back again--at least with the same crowd.
Preachers need to PREACH once again and stop trying to "tickle ears."
Your ministry is a real blessing to me. Keep up the good work.
Yours in Christ

Yes I Love the Message, and I would Love to see more of them posted.
I cannot attend church on a regular basis and I was so blessed by your message. I actually just found this site on my computer and I would LOVE to see your sermons posted regularly. I was saved just a couple years ago and still hunger for God's word. My husband said he was saved once as a teen but has since backslidden and it has been many years since he has been in a church. He refuses to go near one and doesn't want me to tie up my Sundays all day in church. He only has weekends off and he says they are his to do with what he wants. He is so wrong--who gives him
these Sundays? Please pray that he will seek God and repent of his selfish and prideful ways. I love him but it is so hard to listen to his views on church and God and his way of believing!
Well--this started off real good didn't it-? Now--you got the whole story and why I seek these wonderful sermons (food for my soul)
on the internet. God Bless your Bible site--I know I was lead here by his hand. When I can --I attend an Independent Baptist Church near where I live.
Please keep the sermons coming,

I am sorry you have taken this road, I have been a Mormon for about 7 years.
The people are kind and always helping others. We use the King James Bible
and we are mostly taught about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and the
Holy Spirit. All we are taught is guided by the scriptures in the Holy Bible
we have the book of Mormon which is only an accompaniment to the Bible. In
no way does it contradict the King James Bible. This bible is used by many
Christian churches. We are also taught about the life of Joseph Smith, his
teachings do not contradict the Bible or I would never have joined, I am
sorry you have mistaken the teachings of the church, however I hope you will
find the true love of god and I wish you all the best
God Bless,
Shirley
Good tidings to you and yours. It is rare to see a message over the internet or anywhere for that matter that is so clear on the beliefs of the real born-again believer. Your article on Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches is very well put on paper.
We belong to a Calvary Baptist Church also in Tinley Park IL. and have the same convictions as your message. Therefore I believe we know the struggle you are going through to start these churches among the Mormons. We are struggling here among the Irish Catholics and really all Catholics for our area is heavily catholic.
Missionaries such as yourselves are a blessing to us all because we see the real plan The Lord has in starting local, self supporting churches with their own pastors and deacons.
God bless and I will use your document in our Sunday school class to help with our understanding of fundamental independent Baptist Churches.
A member of the group sent me to your website and the article
PREDESTINATION VERSUS THE FREE WILL OF MAN: A Biblical Explanation, By
Cooper P. Abrams, III . I just want to thank you so much because in all
these months I have seen holes in the Calvinist doctrine and the
Arminian doctrine, so this was a real blessing for me. However, after
reading this, another member, who is an Arminianist wrote me the
following and that made sense also. Can you help me on this point if
you have time? Thank you so much.
This is a most beautiful sermon and I will always be grateful to God for everything He has done for me.

Pastor Sam -----, South Africa |
Dear Pastor
The message about Visible Fathers has blessed me a lot. Often times women
usually have fellowships, but I have seldom heard of men felowships. I think
if message of this kind could spread world wide, we can see a dramatic
change in the families.
Hello I wanted to let you know that I read the article on "Is Smoking a Sin" and I printed it out to give to some of my family members, prayfully I hope that they read it and turn from it. Thank you.
Thank you for putting together such a great website. May the Lord bless your efforts and protect you from those who would silence this outlet of the truth. I pray many of our LDS neighbors will be drawn to the Lamb of God and find true peace by trusting Christ rather than their "religion" and good works. In many ways they certainly set fine examples of how Christians aught to appear outwardly. We know, though, that "...man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart" (1 Sam 16:7). We also know that "...they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?(Rom 10:16).
"So then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."(Rom 10:17) Brother, just keep preaching the word of God! For those who hate you for speaking the truth, we can only ask as the Apostle Paul did: "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?" (Gal 4:16).
Hi, I was doing an assignment on your religion 'The Baptist' when I happened to find your web site. I was surprised to see my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on your web page! Why I thought to myself would a Baptist pastor take the time to add my church in his web page! I had no idea and then I read your message to all Latter-day Saints.
I challenge you to invite the missionaries into your home and listen to their message with a willing heart and open mind. I then challenge you to pray to our Heavenly Father and ask Him with real intent whether or not The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, and I testify to you that you will feel the Holy Ghost feel your body with the absolute knowledge that it is the only true church upon the face of the earth. I know because the Holy Ghost has confirmed it to me and my family. I ask of you to do this challenge not to prove that our church is true, but so that you can also have the gospel in your life, which will not only give you direction but you will know why there are so many Latter-day Saints in the world not just Utah. Jesus Christ is the head of our church, our prophet President Gordon.B.Hinckley recieves revelation from Jesus on how to run His church here on earth.
I love being part of this church, not only because it is true, but because I know without a shadow of a doubt that without it in my life, I would have no direction and would not feel of my Saviour's love for me as I do living each day knowing that He lives and that I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
YOU LEFT OUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF BEING SAVED.
ACTS 2:38, REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED, EVERYONE OF YOU, IN THE NAME OF JESUS
CHRIST, FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS. JESUS WAS BAPTIZED AS AN EXAMPLE FOR
US, EVEN THOUGH "IN HIM WAS NO SIN". THERE ARE SEVERAL PLACES IN THE
BIBLE THAT TELL US TO BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, JESUS,
OR THE LORD. THIS COMING WAY BEFORE YOUR EXAMPLE OF ACTS 16:31, ETC. i
HOPE YOU WILL EXAMINE YOUR FORMULA FOR SALVATION, AS WE WILL BE HELD
ACCOUNTABLE FOR OURSELVES AND THOSE WE INFLUENCE ON THE GREAT JUDGEMENT
DAY. ACTS 9:1-5 TELLS US THAT IT IS SO IMPORTANT THAT PAUL BAPTIZED
DISCIPLES, IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, WHO HAD ALREADY BEEN BAPTIZED.
WE MUST BE BAPTIZED TO BE SAVED.
HEAR, BELIEVE, HAVE FAITH, AND OBEY BY BAPTISM, THEN WE MUST WORK.
FOR FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD.
THIS IS SENT IN THE LOVE OF CHRIST JESUS.

I am praying for you as you start your building program. It is encouraging to here of new fundamental churches being planted in the western area of our country. My hearts desire is to one day visit that area, and share Gods word.

I AM WRITING YOU WITH SOME THOUGHTS AFTER LOOKING AT YOUR SITE. FIRST OF ALL,
IT HAS BEEN STATED THAT PROPHETS OF THE MORMON CHURCH SAID THIS AND THAT. YET
UNDER YOUR ENORMOUS HEADINGS, YOU DONT EVEN QUOTE PROPHETS(author's underline) . I FIND THAT
MISLEADING. YOUR SITE STATES THAT THE MORMON CHURCH SUPPORTS ABORTION. THAT
IS A VICIOUS LIE. THE CHURCH UNDERSTANDS THE ACT OF ABORTION UNDER CERTAIN
CONDITIONS. UNDERSTAND AND SUPPORT ARE NOT SYNONYMOUS; THESE TWO WORDS DO NOT
MEAN THE SAME THING. YOU CLAIM TO WRITE BIBLICAL TRUTH, YET YOUR TACTICS AND
STATEMENTS ( OR THOSE STATED BY OTHERS ON YOUR SITE ) ARE NOT HONEST, AND
THEY ARE MISLEADING. I AM NOT HERE TO JUDGE, FOR I BELIEVE IN ALL PEOPLE'S
BASIC RIGHTS, AND THOSE BELIEFS REQUIRE ME TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST YOUR
DISHONEST WAYS. "THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE."
(Note from Bible Truth: Clearly this person did not read the articles on my web site because if he did he would have seen the extensive quotes I have listed. Many Mormons who write critizing me plainly had not read the material. This is a good example of how Mormons deny the plain truth and willingly believe a lie.
On your "How to Get to Heaven" page, you seem to have left out some very
important verses. Jesus told his disciples "Amen, amen I say unto you:
Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall
not have life in you. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath
everlasting life; and I will raise him up in the last day. For my flesh is
meat indeed; and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh and
drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath
sent me, and I live by the Father, so he that eateth me, the same also shall
live by me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your
fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread shall live
forever." (John 6: 54-59 Douay-Rheims)
There, Jesus explicitly says that you MUST eat Jesus' flesh and drink His
blood to inherit eternal life. I suggest you add that to your webpage!
Your sermon on Heb 8:12 Pardoned from sin,
was refreshing and gave me fresh insight in to those verses.
You are a blessing to the body.
Thanks.
Glenn.
I just linked into your website, I do not know who you are, but the Lord is really using you. . . . Keep giving The Word no matter if people like it or not. It is the truth that will make them free.
May God bless you,
This is a most beautiful sermon and I will always be grateful to God for everything He has done for me.
Thank you very much
You said: "Matthew 7:13-14 says, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
I didn't know that Jesus spoke in 17th century English. I guess saying stuff like "ye" and "leadeth" makes you feel religious.
You have not found the straight and narrow gate. You still believe that "your earth" is the center of the universe.
"The truth will set you free".
Hope that eventually you understand the truth, and that in the meantime, you do more good than harm.
In your resource on Prinicples for Literal Bible . . .I would like to use this excellent resource in a small Bible class I am teaching on the cults. In accordance
with your request, I am notifying you of my intention. All references and credits will be maintained.
May the Lord bless you as you reach out to precious lost
souls in these deceptive days.

I just wanted to tell you how blessed I was to read this article. I am a former Catholic and I got saved 10 yrs. ago. I attended --------- church in New York City. I moved to Georgia 5 yrs. ago and attended a Pentacostal Church. The Pastor's son-in-law visited Pensacola, the Brownsville Assembly of God and some of the people came back from there shaking, convulsing, and bowing throughout the services. After talking to the pastor, we decided to leave. I searched for a church for awhile and then found a Calvary Chapel church. They preach verse by verse and the people there are very loving. I had believed that the sign gifts were for today, but I had started to question them. I searched the Bible and read some articles online and decided that God's word is complete and there is no longer any need for tongues. Although Calvary Chapel does not abuse the gifts , so to speak, they do say that they are for today and they believe there is a second blessing. I believed this to be error and I left the church with my husband and my nine yr. old daughter. The problem I am having is my friends, that still attend the church (who do not believe tongues are for today either) say that we should not divide over sign gifts. They say it is not an issue to divide on and that it doesn't make a difference if some of the people speak in tongues in church or in prayer. I believe it is error and the Holy Spirit will not work in error. I was so happy to read your article tonight and see that you agreed. Should we also separate from people who are attending a church that is in error? I believe that they think I have a critical spirit. What makes it even harder is that I have no family here and these are the only people I know here, but then again......it is a lonely narrow road , isn't it?? In Christ, Kathy

thinking about the Lord. It was a hard fought battle to establish and
maintain a father-daughter bond because we had the same stubborn
temperament. Yet in the end we were best friends and our relationship was
based upon a spiritual relationship with Christ. When he died, it really
hit me hard. Harder than I care to admit. Now I am struggling to
re-establish the momentum that I had for Christ when my father was alive.
I am learning what it means "to know Him for yourself". At any rate, I
know that he would have loved your article too. God Bless,
Granny
Thank you so much for sharing your messages with us. I copied all your messages to send to our son who is a missionary in Papua New Guinea working with tribal people. I know he will appreciate the material. Please continue to make it available. Thank you! Gail ----
I found your article on faith very interesting, and especially using Noah
as an example.Your definition of bibical faith was very clear and
precise. I would like to hear a sermon preached on hope someday. Keep up
the good work.
A fellow servant of Christ
I excepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior when I was a little
girl. I attended Church and Sunday School for most of my childhood. As I
grew into adulthood I attended less often. After the birth of my oldest son
(he suffered severe brain damage at birth) I pretty much stopped going. For
lots of reasons anywhere from being angry with the Lord for the job he gave
me (I have since come to realize that this is the most precious job the Lord
could give me) to not knowing what to do with my son when I did try to attend
Church, to the fact of letting people disappoint and let me down, and not
looking to God. Lately I have been convicted of not attending Church and I
will start attending as soon as I find one.
In the mean time I found your website. I want to tell you that it has helped
me so much study the Word of God and understand it. Even though I have been
saved for many years I am so much a babe in Christ. It is time for me to
change that. I just had to write this to say thank you so very much. I have
saved your website to my favorites and I will be a regular visitor.
Thanks for the outlines. I was doing some work on 1 Samuel and this really helped. Keep up the good work. Eddie ---- Amarillo, Texas
Yes Mormons ARE Christians
Are you a satire of Baptist? Your page is so ignorant, as it is 'plastic.'
From what you yourself write, argument, questioning, debate, in otherwords
THINKING is immoral. My maxim is "If your faith cannot stand the test of free
inquiry, its finished." You attack my religion, LDS-but you admit you cannot
respond to retorts to you assertions, period, in otherwords you cannot take
what give. For those of us who consider credibility to be a factor in ant
statement of faith, we find this puzzling. I guess the classic
Borg-Again-fundamentalist STONEWALL is the response, since credibility is a
non-issue to you.
I shared your website with those in church last night and all were positive. Our pastor looked over the pages and said, "Yep, he's a fundamentalist alright." He always likes to look over what we're reading to see that it's doctrinally sound and in agreement with our faith.
You don't understand any religion but what is in your mind. And you surely cannot claim to know that revelation is gone. Mormons do believe in the King James Bible in so far as it is translated correctly. And yes I am an excommunicated Mormon. The other post is correct quit worrying about other people who believe in Christ and move on in your own work without trying to destroy another person's faith
I want to say that this message is totally awesome. I'm 18 fixing to be
19. I' ve surrendered to be a Pastor in April of 96'. Reading this message
was awesome. With your permission, I would like to use some of it. Please
email me @

I was doing some research on Calvinism
and Arminianism and yahoo brought me to
your article. IT WAS GREAT! Thanks for
taking the time to do such a good job
explaining both sides and the error that
leads one to think you have to be one or
the other.
I am a new christian. well, fairly new (less than a year). I enjoyed much of
your site. I will visit again.
I really do appreciate your sermons being on the net...May God richly bless you here and in Glory for not selling them...I am a young (40!) pastor and i grow alot by reading your material God has blessed you with. Again, thank you very much brother...
I just wanted to thank you for your site. It has been most helpful with the
faith, and helping to answer some un-believers questions. There seems to be
more non-biblical sites then accurately biblical sites on the internet.
Please do you what you can to keep this site on the internet. God is
deffinitely using it. Thanks a lot.. god bless
Hello and greetings. First, I would like to say that your website is a true blessing for us Christians (I'm a fairly new one) seeking answers to tough questions regarding God's Word. I'll keep this one short, as I'll probably be e-mailing you every time a question arises for which I cannot answer. (His question followed)
Greetings Friend: I have been by your site now twice. Very simple, and quite easy to
navigate. A friend of mine, -----------, is the pastor of the First Baptist Church of ------, which is independent Baptist.
just read your sermon on the visible father and i thought that is was so true and God bless you and keep on proclaiming the good news
Your Father Satan is proud of his blasphemous servant.... yes he is...
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! I am 20 years old and am a member of a small country church: R----- R----- Missionary Baptist Church in ---------, VA. I greatly enjoy your web site. I have only known about it for about three days, and it already has been a BIG help and blessing to me! It is obvious you have done lots of research and study to present the
material on the site. I appreciate what you stand for (especially your standing on the King James Bible). I thank God for His wonderful Grace and Mercy He has showed toward me! One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 34:6, "This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles." He surely did hear this wretched sinner. THANK GOD!!! May God bless your ministry.
You have no real idea about the Mormon religion. Why don't you try setting foot in a LDS church sometime? Real Christians do not judge each other's religion. They respect each other and carry on the work of the Lord in their own way.
Hello, Brother Abrams, I just wanted to tell you I appreciate seeing your messages on the Web. Thanks for being out there and plugging along.
Bro.: Thanks for the message. Yes, I would like to see more. My address is _____@aol.com. thanks.
Sir, I am writing to thank you very much for your fine sermon on Acts 11. It is the first one of your sermons i have come across and am looking for more of them. Your presentation was fresh and well applied. Keep up such good work.
Dear Pastor Abrams,
Hello from Laurens, South Carolina! I was just browsing through
Independent Baptist Web Sites and found yours! Was a blessing to see that there are "seven thousand" yet who haven't bowed the knee to the modern dogma of christendom! God bless for your stand on the old KJB!
A few definitions:
A) Fundamentalist - One in whom something is fundamentally wrong, most commonly a lack of reasoning ability and vicious intolerance toward those not sharing the fundamentalist's delusions. In groups, fundamentalists are about as useful as wandering bands of machette-brandishing baboons. Sub-groups: 'slack-jawed drooling idiots', 'snake-handling morons', and the ever-popular 'Robert Tilton groupies'.
B) Religion - 1) the first refuge of the desperate, 2) a convenient way of avoiding such unpleasantries as reality and independant thought, 3) A means of feeling superior to others,
4) A cult which has achieved sufficient longevity, membership, and economic clout to merit societal acceptance.
Hope you enjoyed, my amusing friend.

Praise God for your website! I really love it. Keep up the good work! May God use it for His glory!

WHO IS JESUS CHRIST???
Good day! I am ----------, an incoming sophomore in the
University of the Philippines. I am currently completing a research paper about the modern views on the person of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus was and still is one of the most controversial men that lived in this world, and it is because of this that I am propelled to study different beliefs that would paint the portrait of the modern Christ. In line with this, I would like to learn more about the views of your group regarding the life and works of this person. I have studied the written material available, but I am sure your updated opinions would be most valuable to my research. Please take some time out to answer the following. Thank you very much.
Dear Sir !
I enjoy your sermon. It was good for me to learn the word of God
through your ministry. If you can send other sermons by e-mail, I will appreciate for that.
God bless you and your ministry.
Dear Pastor,
Thank-you for coming out with this site to help Christians like myself to grow stronger in God. I have been using the New Beginning Lessons 1-8 to help re-kindle my relationship with God. I just wanted to thank you for your contribution to modern society. Please put me on your mailing list if you have one and keep me informed with news as it comes to you.
Thank-you very much
Hello, my name is Mike --------- and I pastor a small church in Washington State. I have been reading some of your sermons and I really do enjoy your style. My question is with all of the great modern day translations of the Bible available, what is your personal conviction for continuing to use the original King James version?
"Just a thought" as John Maxwell says..
Hi Cooper
I see you have a new (to me at least) essay "Is Baptism necessary for Salvation?" essay.
I find quite a few errors in it according to the Bible. I am working on a paper which will explain these errors but I have a few questions first.
Why do we have to be saved?
Why did Jesus have to come down and suffer on the Cross?
Why do we have to be justified?
I am not looking for a treatise on these questions. Just a few words would be appreciated.
Thanks( Note: Pete has corresponded for about two years...first time he has asked these questions. I have given him the gospel before. CPA )
I just asked Jesus to be my Savior a few minutes ago, even though I have done this before.
I live in --------, Missouri and I am looking for a Baptist Church in my area - I prefer a missionary baptist church because I feel more comfortable there than at a southern baptist church.
I read with some interest all the goings on at the Southern Baptist Convention. Is this the doctrine that you ascribe to or is their another Baptist sect of which your church is a part. I know all Baptist churches are essentially separate from the main group, does this mean that there are as many doctrines as there are churches?
Just wondering.
THANK YOU for such a wonderful website! I will have more questions as time goes on, but for right now, I ask you to earnestly pray for me. I am married to a wonderful Christian woman and the Lord has blessed us with a beautiful 2 year old son(2 on the 17th of June). I have BLOWN IT in the area of spiritual leadership of my home. That's all I can say for now. Again, please pray for me.
The very same arguments that you use to defend your position can be used for any denomination's position; and yet you all argue against each other.
Your logic is seriously flawed in many different areas. The history of God's dealings with man has always highlighted the use of, or method of, revelation; such as with Abraham, Moses et.al. In fact, since you are insistent upon referring to the Bible as your authority, I seem to recall it mentioning that God "will do NOTHING except he revealeth His secret to His servants the prophets." In other words, details He wishes to give of His
kingdom to his children will always come through the prophets. Your explanation "shuts God's mouth" when you say there is no more revelation. How do you know that? By revelation? Here is your problem.
I just wanted to take a moment to say "Thank You" for such a wonderful web site. I have looked for quite sometime for pages such as yours. You see, I am just a babe in Christ and have just begun to start my walk with the Lord. . . .Brother Abrams I would like your permission to refer them to your page so they can read your section called "On Line New Converts Class." I have had trouble finding someone who believes in the Authorized King James Bible and has the information here on the Internet that I feel could help them.
Thank you for listing your sermons they are a blessing to me.

Mormon - No Name Given - July - |
I looked up the references you quoted on your website and I think you are a little off your rocker. Just saying stuff to be mean isn't very nice, let alone being Christian.
Joseph Smith did talk about the moon & stars but nothing about people living on the moon. It looks like you are holding a grudge against the Mormons.
I have read your article regarding the Mormons. I do have some questions, I was very interested in this subject, so I went to the local library and picked up these referals. As I read your article and I read the books, I hate to tell you this but you were misquoting (purging).I have studied with several Religions; I am from Georgia, I have even studied with your religion, so I am searching; I have found out a lot. Now I studied with the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints",(not mormons) I found that they believe in the God of the Bible and The Jesus that is in the Bible (The same God and Christ that you believe in).I know because I read and found out for myself. Now, I think to myself, why would someone who is a Pastor of the Lord try and desicrate down another church who is preaching of Christ. Not once did I hear the LDS people knock down any other faith, nor in the studies that I have done have I seen a prophet say some of the stuff the you (purgered).
(Note: The references in my materials come from the Bible which most people would not have to go to a library to read. The other material is from LDS literature sources which I seriously doubt it would be found in any public library. Clearly this letter is a hoax. I responded by pointing him to the Bible and the real Gospel...)
I'm a pastor at xxxxx xxxx Baptist Church in Korea.
It's a big blessing to find your website.
"New Converts class" is a good materials to use.
If you want me to translate it into Korean, I will do it.
"Expository Bible study course..." is also good of me to use in my church.
If it's not reluctant to you, please send the book for me.
Please let me know the exact name of that book. Is there your book in Amazon?
Sincerely in Christ, God bless you.
Your sermons are helping me with my teaching in finding
answers. Let me tell you something about myself. As I told you
I teach the Adult 111 Sunday School Class. I am 56 and they
are in their 70 and 9o's. It was a big task for me to teach this age
group. I do visitation every week on my own to shut-ins , the elderly
bringing joy and bringing smiles, doing chores to help them. At Xmas
time, I visit two nursing homes , one manor and 37 individual homes
bringing joy with a little skit and giving gifts to all. I just love it . It is
very time consuming, but what other way to give of my time and love
for others. Enjoying your sermons.
Dear Bro. Abrams, I do want to thank you for your sermon site. I pastor a small Independent work in Melbourne xxxxxxxx... have to work a full time job to help pay for the church and give me some money to operate on. It is nice to be able to walk into the pulpit with a good outline.
I have heard of people that say that people like myself just don't want to study ... but that is not true in every case.
I sincerely thank you ... and my people thank you for making my job a little easier. God Bless you ... Bro. TL
I’d like to thank you for your web page. My name is xxxxx, and I am a
former Pentecostal, my fiancee is a Baptist, and he has tried for the
longest time to show me the truth. I guess I am the type of person who
has to see things on my own. Before my conversion to Pentecostalism I was
a Mormon.
I was the first in my family to actually seek after the Truth
of God’s word, and the rest soon followed, but my choice in churches was
obviously a mistake. I feel like I went from one cult to another, and I
am finally beginning to see God’s Word as it really is. This sunday I am
going to explain to my pastor why I am no longer going to be a member of
the Church of God. Will you please pray for me as I seek God and begin
to study His Word in depth? Your web page has helped clear up a lot of
misconceptions that I once had, and I really appreciate it! Thank you
once again.
A friend in Christ,
The Only way to go to heaven is! Die! Where are the Apostles that wrote
the bible today? Where is Moses? They saw and wrote about our day!
Surely they wrote about laws and so forth in their days! How do we get
answers for the complex world and questions we live in today! From dead
Prophets? From your point of view I could say your answer would be,YES !
You read scriptres, but, you dont understand them! Why aren,t we entitled
to be led by a prophet in our day? AMEN (Note: I explained why in a follow up e-mail)

My name is xxxx xxxxxx. I am a missionary Baptist and I live in Lxxxxx,
Washington. I have a brother, xxxx, who is mentally ill with something, we
believe autisim. He is just tormented be all of his various phobias, poor
dietary self provisions and not wanting anything to do much at all with our
mother, step father and I. He just curses us out all the time. It is
interesting how he used to go to a non denominational church when he was
younger, between 13-18. He had not been to church now for I think a few
years. I have noticed in school that he has been going around with
Mormon
students in our school and goes to their church all of the time. Like Heb
6:4-6 it seems impossible for him to change his mind back to christ. Can you
help me. ( I sent him information on dealing with his brother )
