Why did God create unbelievers?
Is is proper to call God "daddy?"
Is there a "mother" or feminine God?
What would be some major problems in studying the doctrine of God?
How do I respond to a curious friend that God is real. He believes that he has to see something to believe it. Why (do you think) God didn't bring Adam and Eve's lives to an end, altogether, then and there when they committed the crime he said was punishable by death - like when you execute a person convicted of murder? Wasn't God justified in carrying out the sentence then and there? You speak of Adam and Eve being saved. Is there any biblical reference at all to that? I cant find any. I do see what God did and I do see what it says in Genesis but the account in Genesis doesn't say they were saved nor can I.
I have a friend who blames God for the death of a loved one. What can I say to them?
Why do people say that God is love when he allows people to go to hell?
Can you explain the Trinity to me?
Did God know Adam and Eve would eat from the tree and die?
However, in the Old Testament, there are several times men are said to have seen God. (see Gen. 32:30, Ex. 24:9-10, 33:11, Judges 13:22, Isa. 6:1, Dan. 7:9) Some of these are clearly "visions." The others are called "theophanies" in which God appeared in appearance as having corporeity, in transiently-assumed visible human form. Most Bible scholar understand this appearances of God as "Chrisophanies" meaning a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ.
Those in the Old Testament saw God in a material form, but did not see God in His true spiritual essence. Man lives in a limited physical and material world God created that exists materially in time and space. God is not limited by time, matter or space, as He is a spirit being. The spiritual world the Lord exists in is outside this world not like this physical environment we live in. We, being material, cannot see the spiritual world. The only reference in the Bible that gives any description is John 3:8, which says that the Spirit is like the wind, we can see its effects but not the wind itself.
There are many things about God we do not know because God has chosen not to reveal them to us. I cannot explain the essence of God as a spirit not the Trinity, but it is true, because God has reveal it to us. Almost everything we know about God is "revealed" truth. That means that from man's knowledge, experience and intelligence he cannot arrive at a true understanding of who and what God is apart from God revealing it to him. Even in our material world we have much we do not understand. For example no one on the earth can truly explain gravity. We see its effects and what it does, but we cannot see it or even explain it. We accept it because it is revealed to be real because we see what it does. In a similar way, we believe in God, because we can see what He does although we cannot physically see Him.
Answer: Many people have ponder your questions since the beginning. The answer I believe is in that God is love and that He created us in order to
show us His love and mercy and beyond that we simply do not know. Isaiah 55:9 says, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are
my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Psalms 139:6 "Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I
cannot attain unto it."
It is hard to understand, but God is not subject to time as you and I. He created time when He created the Universe therefore God tells us He
is an infinite God having not beginning or end. Again, we cannot understand this fully because we are material beings in a physical world and are
subject to time and space. God is Spirit and not subject to the limitation of our material world.
As far as we having a free will, yes we do and God allows us to make choices as to whether to believe and serve Him or not. Because of His
love He did not make us robots without a mind and will that could not make choices. He allows those that want to reject Him to do so and those
that believe and love Him in return as our God, Creator and Savior to return His love. A robot cannot return love, only a man with a free will can
to that. What consolation would there be in a robot doing what it could only do....?
I hope this helps. I have an article at https://bible-truth.org/Trinity.html which explains more about who God is. You might like to read it.
Answer:
I have an article at https://bible-truth.org/Trinity.html#TheTrinity titled, "UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLICAL DOCTRINE OF THE TRINITY" which will explain the Trinity.
Answer: Yes, God knew because God is omniscient. Did man have to sin and eat the fruit? No, God gave man a will and Adam and Eve did not have to disobey God. The Bible does not tell us what were God's motives as He only tells us what He did and how it resulted. God said that His thoughts were not our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9) What we are trying to do is rationalize God's actions using our limited human understanding, when in fact it is beyond the range of our thinking. There are things we cannot understand within with our limited human knowledge. For example, salvation is clearly wholly of God and no man can merit or earn salvation by any act of his own. Yet, God says that those who believe, which is an act, saves. We cannot comprehend or reconcile the two sides of this in our minds, yet God cannot lie nor contradict Himself so both are truth. That was the mistake of Calvin and is the error of those who following the false teaching that originated with him. He using human wisdom concluded that if salvation was wholly of God then God must choose who is to be saved and who is to be condemned. He tried unsuccessfully to systemize God. . . which is a futile endeavor. No where in the Bible is there even a hint that precludes that God condemns some to hell without a chance to be saved. The fact is Jesus died for the sins of all the world....not just the "elect" as the Calvinist purports. Do you see the problem. We cannot understand it, yet God have revealed this truth to us so we in faith accept it because God said it. The Trinity also cannot be explained in human terms or with in the realm of our understanding. Yet, is clearly is true. I think also the matter of God's giving man a will and allowing him to sin, fully knowing what man would do falls in the same category. The closest I can get to understanding the matter is that if God had made man without a will or forced him to do right, man would be no more than a programmed robot. I believe God wants fellowship with us and we to return His love for us, therefore we must have a will, intellect and emotion which a robot does not have.
Answer: I believe I fully understand your feelings about the Bible and God and the seemingly unjust way things are. I cannot say that I can fully explain it, but I can point you in the right direction. The answer to understanding this is to understand the nature of God and also how He made man. God could have created us as robots and programmed us to do everything perfectly as He directed. Certainly, as God, He has the power to do that, however
God's word says that He created man in His own image. That does not mean a physical image, because God is Spirit and His essence is spiritual and not material as we are. The image He is referring to is that He made us like Himself in that we have intelligence, emotion and a will. That precludes us being a programmed robot being forced to only do as God directs. Being made in God's image we can think rationally, feel emotion and most of all make our own decisions. One important truth about God is that He respects us as individuals and He will not violate our will by forcing us to do as He wants. As God, certainly He could make us do anything He wants us too, but His choice is to give us the freedom of choice. That means that a man has the ability to do knowingly do right or wrong as he wants too.
The problem with mankind and all the evil we do is not with God, but with man. God gave man a will to make a choice and the instructions (truth) to make the right decisions. He has told us who we are, why we are here and how to live a proper life. He has revealed to us who He is also and of His love for us and that He wants the best for us. He has fully given us the ability to do right without restrictions. However, most men have chosen to ignore God and to do wrong and sin. The word sin simply means "to miss the mark" or not do that which is best and right. God explains in Genesis that Adam sinned when He disobeyed God. It is clear that God gave Adam the
instructions and a choice and the intelligence to understand and to use logic and reason in his choice. Satan came to Eve first and tempted her and lied saying that God was unfair and that He was withholding something good from her. That was not true. God on the other hand had explained that the only prohibition for man was that Adam and Eve did not eat the fruit of that one tree. He gave them a whole world full of good things and a special garden which was a paradise to enjoy. God fully explained to them the natural consequences that would happen if they did not believe Him and ate the fruit of the tree. Notice I said "natural" consequences of rejecting His instructions. Think for a moment about this? If you were walking say in the Grand Canyon and came upon sharp drop off a thousand feet deep. There was a warning sign that told you of the danger and you read it. Then a ranger came by and he also warned of the danger and instructed you in a safe path that you could travel and see all the splendors of the beautiful scenery. Which direction should you go? You have written instructions and that of a concerned ranger, but the choice is yours. If you jumped off and died who would be at fault? Would you be correct to blame the sign or the ranger or even the forces that created the Canyon? As the person stand on the edge of the canyon contemplating what to do what would be point in blaming the canyon for being there, or blaming God who gave us the ability to make the right choice. The answer us obvious. We would clearly be at fault. Change the story a little and instead of a person, make it a programmed robot that comes across the drop off. It has no decision to make because it is programmed to certain things. It can't make a right or wrong decision. If it goes over the side it is the fault of the designer. But you see we are not robots and God has given us a will and the intelligence to know right from wrong. We can make the right decisions and God clearly has gone to great lengths to help us make the correct choice...but because we have a will we ultimately we are responsible for our actions not God.
Sadly, Adam and Eve choose to reject God's instructions not believing what He has told them....fully knowing, but rejecting what God had said to them. You see without that tree....they would have had no choice and they would have been robots . . . God gave them the ability to choose and honored their will and existence as an individual.
Sin therefore came into the universe because of their bad choice and they became sinners unfit for the presence of a perfect and holy God and for the perfect paradise He had created for them. God did not pollute the earth with sin. Man did and being fully instructed rejected truth and we all suffer the results of that. It was God's ultimate plan that man would dwell with Him in fellowship. That was God's desire from the beginning and for a time He came every day and communed with man in love and fellowship. We know this because even when Adam and Eve sinned and rejected Him, God promised in Genesis 3:15 that He would provided the means Himself to undo what
they had done and He would provide a Savior and the means whereby they could overcome their sin and be restored to righteousness (simply means being right). God kept His promise and came to the earth Himself, Jesus the Messiah, God incarnate in man and He took in Himself all the penalty for man's sins. He suffered for our sins and the sins of every man that was or ever will be born on earth knowing that most men would still reject Him.
God provided the way that man could overcome sin and become righteous and that way to restoration was being imparted the very righteousness of God through simple belief in Jesus Christ. He not only offered man heaven, but His presence in their lives and His Holy Spirit to guide them so they could live the best life possible. So in reality it was man that sinned and caused all the destruction that comes from it. God says that in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life." God did not force man to do wrong and even instructed him what was right and wrong. Therefore God does not share in the blame, but He took it anyway, coming to earth, suffering and dying for our sins...that we could be restored to Him. God Himself showed His love for man in suffering on the cross for us and paying for our sins. Further to receive salvation we do not have to earn it or merit it. God says it is a free gift from Him to all mankind...the only requirement is this..we must exercise our wills and receive it. He will not force Himself on us or make us do right...He will not violate our will.
Think about this.... Has not God given us the Bible which is His written word? Does He not call preachers, pastors and believers to preach this Good News of possible salvation through Him? Has He not suffered and died for our sins Himself while we were sinning against Him in rebellion against Him and truth? Does He not offer to fully pardon and restore us if we will by simple faith in Him allow Him too. The answer is YES! The only logical thing for a man to do is to say yes to Him and believe and receive Him as our Lord and Savior. No man has to go to hell~! God did not even create Hell for man as Matthew 25:41 says, but for Satan and his demons. Man goes there because he refuses to accept truth and rejects God. Not one person needs go there. Romans 1:18-23 explains men are without excuse because God reveals Himself to every man on earth. We cannot change what Adam and Eve did, but through Jesus Christ, who is God, we do not have to be condemned. Romans 8:1 says "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." You and I have a choice to make. Will we believe what God says or will we reject it? The consequences of either decision are clearly revealed to us. The greatest mystery to me is why men, knowing of God, knowing His offer the free gift of salvation . . .refuse Him. Why do men continue to do wrong, knowing it is wrong? Why choose destruction instead of life. The answer is revealed in John 3:16-19:
You see the problem is with us isn't it? All we have to do is believe and reap of the benefits of God's love. I do not say this to be scolding or critical, but to make the point clear..."What is the point in some people spending their time trying to blame God for their bad decisions, instead of accepting the reality of their situation and letting God, redeem them from the consequences of their bad decisions?"
"Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us" (1 John 3:16). "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). I have tried to explain it the best I know how as God has revealed it to us in His word. I pray that you will chose to believe Him. I will respond to any comments you have or continue as you direct.
Answer:
It was Satan not God who brought sin and death into the world. God told Adam and Eve that sin would bring death, but Satan tempted Eve, lied to her and told her she would not die and she could become a god herself.
Eve and Adam, believed Satan rather than God and thus Satan is the one who is responsible for death, not God. God created a perfect Universe without any sin or death. Yet, man refused to believe God and thus brought sin and death on us all.
Answer: You are correct that we live in a fallen world. God created a perfect universe, but when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they brought two things to the earth which changed everything. They brought sin into the world, which the Bible refers to as the “carnal nature.” Man is born with a bent to do that which is wrong. Babies and children are an example. You do not have to teach a child to do wrong.....they do it naturally because that is their nature. Think what the world would be like without death. We clearly see that sin is progressive and sin becomes worst and worst. That is what happened on earth before the Flood. Men lived long lives and sin progressed until God said that man's every thought was evil. Before the Flood this world was a terrible place more than we can comprehend. God destroyed the earth in the Flood and put a stop to this progression. Because God is love, He limited man existence, and thereby limited man's sins.
Romans 3:10-12 “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
Second, sin brought death. The moment Adam and Eve sinned the process of death began in them and the whole of the universe. The died spiritually being separated from communion with God. Yet, in love, God
provided skins for a covering and forgave their sin. But their sin not only effected them, it effected the whole of the universe which was created for man. It is evidenced in the Second Laws of Thermodynamics. This scientific law states that everything in the universe is running down or going from a state in which energy is localized and available to use, to one in which it is less concentrated and less available to use. It is often related to what we call Murphy's
Law. If something can go wrong, it will. In other words, everything is running down, and wearing out. This law of nature completely disproves the erroneous theory of evolution which says things are getting more complicated and better. The process of aging is the process of destruction and it is destroying the universe. The earth has been in a state of destructive change since the Fall of Man (Genesis 3), and especially since the Flood (Genesis 6). This is why we have earthquakes, volcanos, floods, and natural disasters. This was not so before man sinned. The earthquake in the Indian Ocean and the thousands of other natural disasters happening daily around the world are the result of this process of the earth changing and running down. It began when man rejected God by not believing Him. God clearly told Adam and Eve the truth and they did not have to do wrong. He told them that if they rejected His warning they would die.
So, the moment a child is born the dying process is working and in time it will die. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” All sin is doing something that is wrong and is always destructive. Even what we call little sins have a negative effect on us. The Bible calls it unrighteousness. Righteousness is simply doing what is right. They refused to accept God's truth and love....yes His love for them in putting them in the Garden of Eden. They willingly and knowingly sinned and became sinners. Because they became sinners their children also were born with the sin nature. A corrupted man cannot produce a perfect child. Children will be like their father. Why did God let Adam and Eve sin? The answer is that God is a loving and a just God. He did not create us as robots in which He controlled our actions. He created us in His image having intelligence, emotion and a will. If He had not allowed Adam to sin, God would have violated Adam's will. God respects all men and will not violate a man’s will. Man being intelligent can make choices to do right or wrong. God through both natural and special relation (the Bible) tells man who He is and how he
can be saved, so that man is without excuse (Romans 1:18-22). God being just, then must also allow man to be responsible for his actions. So when a man chooses to do wrong, he suffers the consequences of his wrong decision. God loved man and wants man to love Him also. A robot cannot love. Only a man who has intelligence, emotion and a will can return God’s love and have communion with God. At the Fall of man, God promised a Savior
(Gen. 3:15) who would undo and allow man to overcome his error. God’s plan was the He would come to earth, incarnate in man and suffer and pay the penalty for man’s sins....because man, being a sinner, could not pay the debt Himself. So God’s justice required a penalty and God’s love
provided Himself as the Savior. So God provided the Savior and way that man can by simple faith, be forgiven of his sins and receive eternal life and spent all eternity communing with God. But God does not force salvation on any man. Man must accept it by faith. It is certainly tragic that so many were killed in the tsunami. We are horrified at the pictures of death and destruction. But the reality is that good has come from it also. These children are gone from the earth, but that is not their end. Children before they reach the age of accountability are under the shed blood of Jesus Christ, which means that if they die the are taken to heaven. Thousands of children went to heaven immediately in this disaster. They were from nations where most of the people are unsaved believing in false gods and religions that cannot save. Had these children lived they would have grown up worshiping idols as most of their parents did and died unsaved. We have a hard time accepting that death is a good thing, but are they not better off now being in heaven? Most of them lived a poor existence in poverty without proper food, shelter and medical care. We understand this principle when we see an adult suffering from some incurable disease and when they die we say they are better off because their suffering is over. These children are suffering no more, but enjoying the joys of heaven. Had they lived it is unlikely that many of them would have gone to heaven. The thousands that died were mostly unsaved people living in sin worshiping false gods who do not exit. This is hard to accept, but even they are better off in the sense that because of their lives being cut
short their judgment will be less than if they had lived long lives of sin. Those who were killed who knew the Lord as their Savior, were instantly taken to heaven to be with the Lord. It has brought great sorry to their loved ones, but we have to accept the truth that they too are better
off in heaven. It is comforting to the living to know their loved ones are now with the Lord and as 1 Thessalonians 4:13 says, "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.” This same truth applies to the Old Testament when large numbers of men, women and children were destroyed. To understand this we have to see things as God does and in the full reality of the situation. Even though some have a hard time accepting this truth...it is an act of God’s love that takes a child to heaven who would have grown up and died unsaved. It is God’s love that ends the life of a sinner and thereby lessens his judgment. God did not cause this disaster. The ultimate blame rests with Satan who tempted Adam and Eve to sin, who is a liar and deceiver and who is still busy at work tempting men and destroying lives. Yes, God allowed
it and did not prevent it from happening. The disaster is the natural result of the Fall of man and of sin. God in His love, has taken a great disaster and brought good from it as shown above. God promises that one day, He will return and purge the world of sin. He promises
salvation to all who will believe and that means the we can ultimately overcome all the death that sin has brought.
Answer: The answer is that I do not fully know why God does what He does. We can speculate as to the "what ifs", but I do not believe it to be productive. However, we can base our understanding on what God has revealed in the Bible. We know the character of God is such that He cannot nor does error. Surely, he could have ended the universe in the moment they sinned, but he didn't because it was not His plan and He had good reasons for making His plan. God knew what Adam and Eve would do....He is omniscient and nothing takes Him by surprise, so clearly He had a purpose and plan. Suppose he had killed them immediately.....on what basis would their salvation be based? Jesus paid the penalty for their sins four thousand years later on the cross. Further God has gathered to Himself a people who love God and He has plans for in the future. Think about this.....we do not know much about what God has planned for us in eternity, but we know He does have plans for us. Surely, God knows what eternity holds and this was on His mind when He created the universe. What He does is proper and correct. We might not fully understand it, but often people trying to understand, make judgments about God, based on limited human knowledge. We do not know the mind of God, more than He has revealed in His word. So what we do not understand, we accept trusting and knowing that God is holy and righteous in all He does.
It is easy to try and second guess God. For example you assume that there is no reference to Adam and Eve being saved, but there is information that sheds some light on this. In Genesis 3:15, God promised them a Savior who would undo the penalty of their sin. Following this in Genesis 3:21, it states that God made for them animal skins and clothed them. This implies the institution of animal sacrifice, which was undoubtedly of divine appointment, and instruction in the only acceptable mode of worship for sinful creatures, through faith in a Redeemer (Heb 9:22). Further both Cain and Abe sacrificed unto the Lord. Abe sacrificed the firstling lambs of his flock. Where do you suppose he and Cain learned about sacrificing and was a proper sacrifice? Of course from Adam and Eve, who must have, in faith taken the animal skins as clothing, and understanding its significance taught that it honored God to offer a proper sacrifice to God. They believed God when He promised the Messiah in Genesis 3:15. Cain received the same instruction, but he ignored what his parents taught him and knowingly offered an improper sacrifice. He knew it was wrong because his parents had taught him what was correct. You see Adam and Eve, believed God and proof of that was that in that they taught their children what was proper. Abe also believed as Hebrews 11:4 states and obeyed God in righteousness. So clearly Adam and Eve believed God and by faith were saved. I hope this helps you understand this better. You are seeking the truth and that is good....keep at it. The Bible is fully sufficient to answer our questions.....what we have to do is study it and believe God.
Answer: The problem is not that your friend cannot see the evidence of God and that he is blind to it. All he has to do is look around him at life itself to see the handiwork of God. Think about how intricate is the human body with all it various systems all working together to make us function. Surely, we can see the designing hand of our Creator in all this. Scientists are just beginning to understand our body's various functions and how they all work together. They have learned a lot, but they have only scratched the surface. They observe what it does, but they do not know how it works. This is clear evidence of God our Designer and our Creator's existence. However, even if your friend saw a miracle he probably would not believe. In hospitals doctors and health workers see Christians praying and once in a while they see a marvelous cure. A person with a large tumor is checked and found that without medical therapy that it is gone. Does that make the doctors all turn to Christ and receive Him as their Savior? The answer is no.
Jesus in Luke 16:19-31 tells the account of a rich man and Lazarus who both died. Lazarus is taken to heaven, but the unbelieving rich man goes to Hades (hell). The rich man in torment begs that Lazarus be returned to life and allowed to return to his town and go to the rich man's brothers to warn them about hell. "And he(rich man) said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead." (Luke 16:30-31) The reference to Moses and the prophets is referring to the Old Testament scriptures. The rich man was told that if they would not believe God's word, they would neither believe in God if one came from the dead to warn them. That is a chilling statement but true. I have seen so many times God do wonderful things in the churches I pastored and yet, see people ignore it and continue in they sinful lives rejecting the Lord Jesus. The way to reach your friend is to read to him or get him to read the Bible which is God's word. God the Holy Spirit, as the Bible is read and studied, opens people's hearts so they may understand and respond to God. However, sadly all who hear God's word do not respond to Him. Jesus said this about those who reject God's truth.... "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19) Some people are not willing to give up their sin or to make a commitment to live a godly live as God wants us too. These people would rather have a few moments of worldly pleasure, than to spend eternity in heaven. It is a poor trade. Pray for your friend, get him to read or read to him God's word and His plan of salvation. Hopefully, your skeptical friend will yield to the urging of the Holy Spirit and be saved. The Bible explains who is our Creator. "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men." (John 1:3-4) Colossians tells us that it is Jesus Christ our God and Creator who is the source of power and life on the Earth. "And he is before all things, and by him all things consist." (Colossians 1:17) Science has tried to theorize how life can to be by inventing the "theory of evolution." However, though still believed by many scientists, many others are seriously questioning the theory because they see no evidence of it. No scientist has ever seen anything being influence by this mystical and elusive process they call "evolution." With hundreds of thousands of scientist researching life you would think that they would find the source or observe some even minute example of evolution. But they find none. The problem is they are anti-God and will not accept our Creator and God. The denial of there being a Creator is the root of why evolution was invented. It was created to explain life without a Creator Designer. It is a complete fabrication of men who refuse to accept they are the creation of God, and who deny all the evidence that proves they are. The field of biology is especially sensitive to examining the claims of evolution. The biologists see the complexity of life and know that random change, as the "theory" of evolution teaches, could not have produced life in all it varying and complex forms. The First and Second laws of Thermodynamic prove unquestionably that every thing in the universe is running down and since the universe began nothing new is being produced. Further there is no evidence that life has evolved upward. The evidence including the fossil records show plainly all life is moving downward. But all this is not positive proof....it is overwhelming evidence that what we see in life demands a Designer to create life. The Bible, which is God's written word to man, says that man is a sinner and has a nature to do wrong. Evidence of that is overwhelming, too. All we need do is look at ourselves and turn on the TV and see the news. Why is man so bent on destroying himself and those around him? Why so many wars and such cruelty in the world? From birth, children naturally do what is wrong and must be taught to do right. Left alone, a child will always do what is wrong. Children naturally are disobedient to parents and tend to rebel. Parents and teachers then have to teach children to do what is right and in their best interest. Man is at war with other men. Why do we not love and respect each other which would be in our best interest? Why do most people hate each other. The Bible is right, man has a sin nature and is a sinner and sins against each other and against our Creator. Yes, God does know everything. God created man with a will to make his own decisions and God respects a man's will and will not force Himself on us. That means he allows us to do what we want. Man can reject His existence, and live as we want too. However, although God will not violate our wills, He does hold us responsible for our actions and one day will judge us accordingly.
Yes, being omniscient God knows who will believe in Him. But as I said, he does not force Himself on us. He tells us in the Bible who He is and what is His plan for us. He then leaves it up to us to accept Him or reject Him. To those who accept Him, He forgives their sins and through the Holy Spirit directs, and guides them. He gives them a new nature that understands truth and can live a godly life and do what is right. I personally know that, having believed and had my life completely changed by God. I was a pretty rough and sinful person until by faith God gave me His grace and changed me.
Life is certainly not pointless for those who recognize our God and Creator. There is a wonderful joy and peace in knowing God and being reconciled to our Creator and knowing our sins are forgiven and we are His children. There is great benefit in living as God would have us to and thereby avoiding the natural result of sin that is always destructive. There is also the absolute promise and assurance of God that when we die....and we all will one day die. Death for the believer is just a door way that opens for us that we might enter heaven. For the believer, death is not to be feared because God has given us eternal life.
Yet, the person who refused to accept our God and Creator Jesus Christ cuts himself off from the blessing of God his Creator. His life can be said to be pointless, but a better word would be "wasted." His life is lived, guided by his sinful nature that has a bent to destroy him. God tells us that the unsaved man is not capable of being righteous (means being right). God who created us says that He will not force Himself on us and that if we chose to reject Him and not believe...He will not interfere.
He tells us that heaven a perfect place where there is no sin. No one is worthy to go there because we are all sinners, but God says if we will believe and accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, then He forgives all our sins, and gives us His righteousness and makes us a new person. Sadly, the opposite is true for those who will not accept Him. They cannot go to heaven because they are sinners and remain under the judgment of their sins.

If you have further questions or comments I will be happy to answer. I remember my teen years and the many questions I had. Many things did not make sense to me. I really never had anyone to answer my questions or even talk to. I wish someone would have explained the things of God to me. I did not believe and find the Lord until I was 32. I lived a hard life, made many mistakes that I am ashamed of today. If I had received Christ as a teen I could have avoided a lot of heartache for myself and others too. But I cannot change the past, but I can live for the Lord now. Once I was very proud that I rejected God, but I see today how wrong I really was and I am so glad that in time God loved me and continued to seek me and I did receive Him as my Savior. What a different life I have lived since. It has been a joy and peace that I never knew before.
The Bible begins with the premise that "God is." Gen. 1:1. This is the emphatic statement that God made to Moses when he ask who was sending him to free Israel from the Egyptians. God said...tell them "I am" is sending you. To understand God we begin with the absolute truth that God is.
The possibility of a king as central leader of the nation was foreseen as early as Genesis 17:6; Deuteronomy 17:14–20. The kings governed by using bureaucracies similar to those of other ancient Near Eastern kingdoms. Kings who overstepped the legitimate bounds of “government under God” were often confronted by prophets such as Nathan, Elijah, or Jeremiah (2 Sam. 12:1–15a). Isaiah the prophet pointed to the coming Messiah who would be the supreme ruling king and agency of God’s government of His people (Is. 9:6–7).
After the fall of Jerusalem in 586 b.c., the Jews were ruled by foreign powers such as Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome. During most of these times, however, the Jews were allowed a measure of self-government. In time the office of High Priest took on political as well as religious dimensions. At most times there was also a group of local Jewish leaders that formed a governing council. In Jesus’ day, this body was called the Sanhedrin. Made up of both Sadducees and Pharisees, it was presided over by the high priest.
Jesus taught that earthly governments exist by God’s will (John 19:11) and are legitimate as long as they do not take over the role reserved for God (Mark 12:13–17). When human governments exalt themselves above God, they go beyond their legitimate function in society (Dan. 5:31). Romans 13 discusses human government as ordained by God. Revelation 13, on the other hand, discusses it as becoming degenerate and demonic. Christians live in the tension created by the fact that governments can be good (Rom. 13) or evil (Rev. 13). When governments promote good and suppress evil, they fulfill their God-given function (Titus 3:1; 1 Pet. 2:13–14). But if government exalts itself as sovereign over all life, then it has overstepped its bounds and is a handmaid of evil. (Nelson's Bible Dictionary) Romans 13:1-6 explains the relationship of Christians to their government:
We are called the "sons of God" and that means He is our Creator. He gave us life and has a purpose for our lives.
So...there is no "mother" in the God-Head. God is not a man, nor ever was a man. God made woman for man....
Many people are confused about the fact that God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are each separate persons, yet are one God. After years of study I have written an article that explains this truth as God's word presents it to us. Please go to https://bible-truth.org/Trinity.html#The%20Trinity which is the article titled "Understanding the Biblical Doctrine of the Trinity." Many people have said the article helped them understand clearly this important doctrine. Accepting and understand comes from accepting what God has said about it.
God tells us that "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17) God's word is the source of our faith. God has given us His word the Bible and knowing that is it God's inspired word, we believe it and our faith grows. It grows because we know the truth and we accept it because God has said it. This is why it is important for us to read the Bible and study it, to faithfully attend a good Bible believing church that teaches God's word. God wants us to grow strong in our faith in Him. Not knowing God's truth, causes doubts and confusion. The devil uses our ignorance and he has many false teachers who try to deceive and confuse people. The ones who study and know God's word are not easily deceived....because that know what God has said. Sadly, others are tossed around and often deceived by cunning false teaches. The Bible is the Christians sole authority for their faith and practice. Therefore to grow in faith, you must learn God's word. It is a process that occurs over time. It is not instantaneous. As we learn we grow in faith because we know that God does not lie and His word is true.
The Bible does not use such a word in reference to God the Father. Paul refers to God the Father in Galatians as "Abba." "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father." (Galatians 4:6)
Clarke says, "Abba, Father - This Syriac word, which intimates filial affection and respect, and parental tenderness, seems to have been used by our blessed Lord merely considered as man, to show his complete submission to his Father's will, and the tender affection which he was conscious his Father had for him, Abba, Syriac, is here joined to ?pat?? , Greek, both signifying father; so Paul, Ro 8:15; Ga 4:6. The reason is, that from the time in which the Jews became conversant with the Greek language, by means of the Septuagint version and their commerce with the Roman and Greek provinces, they often intermingled Greek and Roman words with their own language. There is the fullest evidence of this fact in the earliest writings of the Jews; and they often add a word of the same meaning in Greek to their own term... The words appear to have been differently used among the Hebrews; the first Abbi, was a term of civil respect; the second, Abba, a term of filial affection. Hence, Abba, Abbi, as in the Syriac version in this place, may be considered as expressing, My Lord, my Father. And in this sense St. Paul is to be understood in the places referred to above. See Lightfoot. If you have further questions or comments please write." (Clarke)
Some misinformed preachers/teachers have mistakenly said the word means "daddy" because daddy is an affectionate term used for one's father. However, using the informal term "daddy" is not what Jesus in Mark 14:36 was using. As Clarke states it rather means "My Lord, My Father." Jesus was expressing in crying out to God the Father, the closest and most intimate of relationships. Yes, God is our Father who loves us and cares for us and we look upon Him affectionately. However, we also at all times hold in our hearts a deep respect for Him as our God, Savior, Lord and Creator.
In Romans 8:15 Paul uses the term in reference to the believer's adoption as a child of God. It shows the relationship the believer has after salvation with God as their Father. Paul in using the term "Abba, Father" shows the position of the believer as a child of God is complete in that once saved a person refers intimately to God as their father.
Using the term "daddy", which is baby talk, is not a proper or respectful way to refer to Our God and Savior.
As you said He is omniscient and He is also totally righteousness meaning He cannot do anything wrong. Righteousness is simply rightness.
Clearly He gave man a will and allowed him to use his powers of choice. He did not make man a robot which would be what would have happened if he had not allowed man to use his will. It seems God did not want to create a mast of robots, but rather people who would make the choice to love Him and in faith accept His redemption. We are made in God's image being able to reason using our wills, have intelligence to make decisions, and emotions to feel love. If we had been made with no choice we could not be made in God's image.
Thus God's plan was to offer all men redemption and salvation freely, but most men reject God. If God did not allow men to make a choice, heaven would not be the place God has planned for believers, both Old and New Testament. We do not know much about how God will use believers in heaven and His coming kingdom, but we know He has plan and as Paul said it is wonderful beyond our ability to comprehend.
Romans 1:18-23 states man is without excuse because God reveals Himself to all men. John 3:19-20 explain why men choose to reject God and are lost.
The key is God wants a people who will believe and serve Him freely because the respect and love Him. If God forced man to believe then this could not be true.
I am confident that once we are will the Lord we will understand. It is sad that most men reject God and reject His salvation. It is sad that they will be eternally separated from God in the Lake of Fire, but that is their choice. I had talked this past week with several people witnessing to them. They were not the least interested to the Lord, or their eternal destiny. The heard the truth and even stated they knew they needed to believe....but they would not as John 3:19-20 state. Some people want to blame God, but that is unfair. God promised the Messiah at the Fall of Man and has promised throughout history redemption to all who will believe and accept it. He through the Holy Spirit reveals Himself to every man and most of all showed His love by coming to this earth, incarnate in flesh in Jesus Christ and suffering and dying for our sins. What more could He do? He offers salvation freely to all would will accept it.
I hope this helps you to understand to some degree. Knowing the love of God and His righteousness we know what He has done is right.
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
God cannot lie and He seeks to save every man. Therefore how can anyone blame God for what we did?
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:4-10)
Answer:
People believe in God for many reasons. One is the complexity and variations of all living things including man. There are tens of thousands of different life forms on our earth. Each is unique and so complex that it is beyond our ability to even comprehend it and certainly we do not understand how life works. We can examine it, see what it does, but we do not know why. Yet, one thing is undeniable...where there is design in all the forms life shown by the complexity of life. If there is design, there must then be a designer and the Bible tells us who the Designer is....our God and Creator.

A major problem in studying theology would be that you began with a misguided or unbelieving premise or tried to limit an explanation of God to human understanding. I have an article at https://bible-truth.org/Trinity.html which explains the biblical doctrine of the Trinity in practical terms. It deals with God's essence as related to the Trinity.
Answer: God gave us the principles of government. He gave the Old Testament Law to Israel through Moses around 2400 B.C. Only God is the sovereign ruler of all. Man gets his concept of human government from God as the Creator and Ruler of the universe. In Bible times God exercised government through many persons and institutions.
The basic unit of government among the Hebrews was the “father's house” or primary family (Gen. 12:1; Num. 1:4). Above this was the clan (Num. 36:6) and then the tribe, governed by a leader who was chosen by representatives from the tribes (Num. 1:4–16). Over all these units was a central leader. In early days, Moses or Joshua (and Aaron and his descendants in the religious sphere) served as central leaders among the Israelites. After Joshua's death, numerous local or tribal leaders known as Judges stepped forward to lead. These judges exercised many governmental functions, but no central leadership existed during those days. Only Samuel approached national status as a leader.
"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing." (Romans 13:1-6)
Answer: There is no femininely in the Trinity, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is always referred to in the Bible as being masculine. The term "father" is used by God to show He is our Creator and we are responsible to Him. The term "son" shows that Jesus is God incarnate in man and therefore is associate with us as humans. Jesus was wholly God and wholly man. The Holy Spirit does the will of God the Father as does Jesus Christ. We think about a son being in subordination to his father, but the use of title "son" which Jesus shows He does the will of the Father who is the Head of the God-Head.
Answer:
I cannot give you a definitive answer to that question because God has not explained His reasons. But is seems clear that God desired to create a people who would love and serve Him and be used by Him to serve others. He therefore gave man a will to choose to do right or wrong. If He had not given man a will to choose, man would be a programmed robot and could not truly love God or others, nor could he experience emotion as a man does. Robots do not have intelligence, a will, or experience emotion. Genesis 1:27 says that God created man in His own image. God man like to be like Himself in this abilities. Therefore God created man allowing him to make his choices and to willingly do what is right...or to reject God and do what is wrong. God will not violate a man's will and force His will on him.

The word "daddy" is an informal term for a father; probably derived from baby talk. A baby's first words are often "da da."
Answer:
Ultimately we do not know, but we can examine the facts and understand what happened and in a sense understand God's actions.
