Seasons Greetings

" . . . I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:10-11) |
Carolyn and I would like to wish each of you the Lord's best during the Christmas season. Christmas is a wonderful time to be with family, loved ones and friends. Even though most of world around us does not the Lord Jesus whose birth we celebrate. . . we know Him and in the deepest love thank Him for coming and providing our means of redemption.
It is hard to believe that of the past eighteen Christmases we have spent fourteen here in Utah. The older I get the more I think of such things and the harder it is to be so far away from those we love so much. Carolyn is busy packaging presents to mail to our families and especially to our two grandsons in Virginia. We are looking forward to calling them on Christmas day and sharing by phone their Christmas morning. But we are not alone, as there are so many like us who have been given the privilege to be called as missionaries to spread the Gospel where it is not being preached and to build churches.
The cards, gifts and letters from those of you who support us mean so much to Carolyn and me. It lifts our spirits and encourages us to know that you are thinking of us. I wish we could see each of you personally and thank you, but that is impossible now. However, there will come a day when the Lord returns and our labors on earth will be finished. Then, there in heaven we will have the opportunity to face to face thank all that have meant us much to us.
The wonderful message we carry to the lost here in Utah is worth any sacrifice it takes to share it with others. We thank the Lord for the many victories we have seen in this past year and we pray that we will see even more souls saved and more believers growing in the Lord in this coming year. And I believe we will too, . . . because so many pray and stand with us.
"Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you" (2 Thess. 3:1).
